About Us
In
April
of
2021,
I
purchased
my
Spyder
and
new
adventures
began.
Coming
from
a
traditional
two
wheel
motorcycle
after
nearly
30
years
riding,
medical
reasons
forced
me
to
make
changes if I wanted to continue to ride.
I
took
my
spyder
on
the
curvy
back-roads
of
Kentucky,
expecting
it
to
handle
much
like
my
motorcycle.
Not
even
close!
After
scaring
myself
several
times
it
became
time
to
re-evaluate
this
new
3
wheel
adventure.
I
spent
many
days
out
on
those
curvy
roads,
learning
new
skills.
I
tell
you
this
because,
riding
a
spyder
is
a
whole
new
adventure.
Do
I
miss
my
motorcycle,
no,
I
still have it and will ride it occasionally, but I can say I love my spyder so much more.
Once
I
was
comfortable
on
the
spyder,
I
started
looking
in
other
groups
for
folks
to
ride
with.
Where
I
met
Ron
Gordon
and
Karen
Ebert,
I
set
up
the
group
and
they
joined
in.
However,
Covid-19
was
still
restricting
us
from
having
meetings
in
2021,
we
were
strictly
an
online
group.
Eventually,
restrictions
were
lifted
and
the
planning
and
meetings
were
able
to
take
place.
It
was a slow start but with lots of interest, we have what is now the “Bluegrass Spyder Ryders”.
However,
2022
came
with
many
plans
and
a
bright
future.
Creating
plans
for
the
group,
adding
Ride
Captains
and
planning
future
routes,
I
can
truly
say
we
had
so
much
fun
on
our
rides. The camaraderie this group has with each other is absolutely amazing.
We
have
folks
from
100
miles
away,
people
from
all
walks
of
life,
including
the
medical
field,
teachers,
retired
veterans,
mechanics
and
it’s
just
absolutely
wonderful
to
see
everyone
come
together and enjoy the “Bluegrass Spyder Ryders” group.
We
look
forward
to
a
new
year
of
riding
and
we
have
some
overnight
trips
along
with
attending a few rally’s planned for this 2023 riding season. I hope you will join us!
